Classroom Observation Tool

The ICOT form can be completed online, completed off-line and later submitted, or printed out, completed and entered in the form later.

The STEPS for filling out the ICOT form are:

1. Open the form you have selected for the observation.
2. Fill out the general information area and enter starting time.
3. Complete the 3-minute chart throughout the observation.
4. Record data in each area of the form using the side buttons for easy navigation between elements of the form.
5. Enter comments in areas that are anecdotal information.
6. Use the pop-up comments when appropriate.
7. For NETS•T (National Educational Technology Standards for Teachers), record standards addressed using the spaces appropriate for each standard.
8. Submit the form or save for later submission.
